Dining in New Orleans
Put something else in your mouth.
The Gumbo Shop
Simply named, and simply prepared, you could do better but you do a lot worse. And just like dating, this place can be hit or miss.
The Court of Two Sisters
This Cajun place is more like stepping back in time and stopping for a meal along the way. It’s more about the experience; the daily Jazz Brunch is your best bet.
Red Fish Grill
If you’re not willing to venture too far from the Quarter, you’ll find the food there sufficiently N’awlins. The BBQ oysters are the best item on the menu.
Quartermaster Deli
The outside looks like home for reason. The inside feels like it too. The home cooking waiting for you is something you’ll be telling momma about.
Orange Couch
A coffee shop unlike the others. Mark this place a must if sugary treats and ice cream is something you fancy. And of course coffee.
Oceana Grill
Exactly what is sounds like, seafood. Lot’s of it. Enjoy some southern hospitality in NOLA style.
Napoleon House
200 years of history reside within these walls. If that’s not enough to pull you in, good sandwiches and other quick grabs also call this place home.
Mr. B’s Bistro
A little formal, but still comfortable, this is a pricey and satisfying way to get your Creole fix. BBQ Shrimp is the famous item, if you have trouble deciding.
One of those places you have to visit (despite the lines) when you’re in NOLA. It’s a bit of a process, but things like the shrimp Po’Boy make it all worth it.
China Moon Wok
If you’re looking for a little late night Vietnamese look no further. Grab some drunken noodles no matter what state you’re in.
