Coop's Place is one of my favorite places in New Orleans. It's small, there can be a wait. It's far enough off of Bourbon but still in the Quarter, if you're wanting a semi-escape. The service was wonderful. They were busy and I've have expected the server to be in a rush but she was so helpful and fun! We all had a great meal and delicious drinks. This is not an accessible restaurant, neither are the restrooms, which are gender-specific (although no one would care which you choose).

This is a place locals love, and now I know why. Shared a large table with strangers and had so much fun! Met "The Rabbi" twice, and loved the food. My favorites were the fried oysters and marinated crab. Great fried chicken too. With so many restaurants to choose from, this was so good I went twice during my short visit to NOLA.

So yummy!! I had the BBQ shrimp and I practically drinking the leftover sauce out of the bowl! Thankfully the server kept bringing us more bread to soak it up and eat it! The marinated crab claws we're amazing too. With $5 Wells and great food I will definitely be returning to this neighborhood joint!

The seafood gumbo has such a different flavor profile than what we had in other restaurants. It's much thinner, like a soup, but with a strong peppery kick. The Cajun pasta feels like it has a whole block of cheese plus a whole stick of butter! It's very rich and tasty with an ample amount of seafood.

Got a recommendation for their fried chicken and jambalaya so decided to try it out. Not disappointed. The spices of the jambalaya were well balanced; couldn't really appreciate the rabbit though. The chicken was southern-fried so very much comfort food; not greasy and very crispy. Overall, I will recommend this place
Creole flavor you can feel. Grab a friend and dig into some grub. Then take that friend home.

It was nearly impossible not to have expectations given all the hype but I am glad to report their reputation is well earned. From the moment my wife and I arrived to the moment we left, we were cared for. Rarely have I ever had such a dining experience. The butternut squash bisque was indescribably good. Janell was our server and was PERFECT. She really helped to make the experience even better. If ever we travel back to New Orleans again, we will dine here again because of her.

This place was pretty darn fantastic. My wife had the pork chop, and I had the pecan crusted fish. We had a bread pudding souffle for dessert. All of these items were fantastic. The service was old school fancy. My pro tip is dress extra nice. A sport coat would have been a good idea, but I still had a great time.

My family went here for the Jazz Brunch. The atmosphere is beautiful, the staff is attentive and helpful. The drinks are amazing. The food is good, I was expecting more from the menu and reputation from the food, but nothing was bad. Also, be sure to wear a collared shirt, they are more than happy to throw you out for not wearing one.

Hands down one of the best experiences at a restaurant. We had a reservation later that day but couldn't make it since we were traveling. They were able to accommodate us right away which was nice. They led us through the open kitchen to an outside sitting area and since the weather was perfect it was super pleasant. The ambiance itself was great as the outdoor looks like a nice garden. The service was impeccable, they were attentive without being annoying and have good recommendations and service. The food was delicious. We had 3 birthdays we were celebrating and when they brought the desserts there were candles and hats for the celebration. Oh and the live band. Of course it wouldn't be NOLA without live music. The band was going around playing music to match the celebration & where we were traveling from.Overall it was amazing and I can't recommend it highly enough.

I went here with my wife and our good friends tonight and had a great time. Of course this is a high end establishment so be prepared to spend a couple hundred bucks if you plan on imbibing on alcohol, appetizers, and desserts. To start of we had the escargot, salad, and turtle soup. For our entrees , my wife ate the scallops with grits. I devoured the duck with sweet potatoes. We also had a side for the table of goat cheese grits.The food was outstanding and the service equaled the cuisine. I don't eat out like this very often. This was a special occasion around the holidays with friends. I'd definitely come back in the future.
It’s an NOLA legend, so dress fancy and be on your best behavior. The food and service are amazing, just be prepared for a fainting spell when you get the bill.

We arrived in French Quarter late night and were starving. We walked down the street couple blocks from our hotel room, found this place. Breakfast all day and opens 24/7!!! The price is incredibly cheap. Staff was so friendly. Love!

Alright folks, this is a greasy dinner. You know what you're getting. That said, their food is crazy good and reasonably priced. My friends always enjoy the burgers and chicken fried steak and is stuck to my breakfast foods. But here's the jam... They just started carrying "Beyond" burgers. They cook it on its own little griddle, AND dress it with veganese. Now the bun... Probably not vegan. But as a veggie... This is a fantastic addition. Throw in great service and it's a win.

The burgers were delicious and prepared perfectly. The atmosphere is that of an old time lunch counter with minimal seating for the amount of people that were here. But our server was great considering the crowd and the crazy grill cook he was dealing with! All in all it was good eats!

The food was great! The biscuits and gravy was delicious, and their burger's are big and juicy. Its always crowded , and the grill cook was fussing away, but it's got atmosphere and that New Orleans feel to it. And our server was great as well! I just wish I could remember his name! He was working it considering it was lunch time on New Years day!

Ate here twice now. First time was quick. Second time they were steady and it took almost 15 minutes for someone to engage us. Food is good but if they are busy, you might want to go elsewhere.
“Greasy spoon” comes to mind, as does delicious burgers and breakfast after pounding (the drinks) all night. Cheap diner food and open 24 hours a day.

I was at this location on 1-20-2020 around 6 pm and was charged twice for my order. No one has called me back to refund my money! I will be contacting a district manager. I have tried to call several times and left my name and information.

It is a very good place for coffee and desert, this is a lovely Victorian building and has a nice charming atmosphere. I would recommend this place.

PREHEAT YOUR CERAMIC MUGS! A customer should not have to request this! NOBODY wants their coffee stone cold before they even get through half of it. This is a simple step that makes a world of difference! I have to request this every single time because the baristas never take it upon themselves.That said, I continue to subject myself to poor service because this CC's has the best atmosphere I have experienced in New Orleans. I love the old building and I REALLY appreciate that they have good jazz at a moderately low volume, providing ambiance without robbing you of your senses.
Sip on some brew with checking out the scene. Who knows who you’ll find at this larger sized cafe.

My wife and I and a nephew had our first meal ever at this place today and thoroughly enjoyed it. The shrimp & grits were terrific, prices were good, service was good despite how busy the cafe was and the atmosphere was uniquely New Orleans family-rated cool! Now that we've discovered this place, we will definitely be back!

If you're visiting New Orleans, like me, this Cafe is a little out of the way compared to the popular French District but it's full of charm and delicious food.It seems at peak time you'll order your food at the counter and wait to be seated, and with a bit of luck your food will arrive as you sit down.The food is delicious and has great vegetarian options.

I absolutely love this place. Fantastic breakfast options, great pricing, super staff.Excellent vegan/vegetarian options, among your normal fair so great if you have a mixed group.I'd definitely recommend you skip the more expensive options in the area for this gem.I literally went here three mornings in a row once I found it.

Very pleasant little place with outdoor seating and satisfactory seating space inside. Not glamorous, but tasty food and friendly staff. The king cake was a great consistency, albeit too sweet, but such is the way of the king cake.

A great place for brunch! Their mushroom gravy and biscuits is my absolute favorite and of course the cakes are amazing. I love adding a cupcake to my meal just because. They always have a wide variety of drinks and friendly staff.
If the boys in NOLA aren’t sweet enough for you, maybe this bakeshop is.

CASH ONLY!!!There are plenty of tables to eat inside and outside of the store. There are three lines. The first line is for take outs. It's located at the back of the store. The second line is for dining in. It's located in front of the store. The third line is for the bathroom. Yes the bathroom. There is only has two stalls. If you just need to wash your hands, there's a tiny sink in front of the bathroom. I'm not sure you need to wait in the bathroom line to wash your hands. The beignet was perfectly fluffy and sweet. Totally recommend it.

A must visit in New Orleans. They keep it simple. ONLY CASH. The best Beignets you will ever taste. It can be a little bit hot as it’s outside seating. The tables are very small and can seat 4. Water is served always cold. Service is quick. It’s crowded too.

An honest review from a newbie to New Orleans: Cafe Du Monde was okay. We came here on a Tuesday morning and received quick and courteous customer service. This particular cafe is pretty expensive. You only get about 6 oz in your coffee cup with no refills. You will pay slightly less than full price for a refill. The beignets were good, but they weren’t anything special beyond something you could make at home. I would pass on Cafe Du Monde in the future. It is good for a “one and done” if you’re visiting. Don’t feel bad if on your visit the cafe is too crowded. You wouldn’t have missed much. Cafe Du Monde is near the top of the heap in terms of tourist hype. Overall, it was an average experience.

Cafe Du Monde is a treasure of New Orleans. One of the most unique places you can visit. It is usually crowded with a line to get a table, but it's not too long of a wait and is worth it. The servers are amazing at their job. The beignets are always delicious. Be prepared to get powdered sugar on your clothes! Usually live music somewhere nearby to enjoy while sipping your coffee. In the heart of the french quarter, convenient stop while visiting other attractions nearby. Next to the river front, Jackson square, and the french market. A must visit anytime you are in New Orleans.

3 delicious beignets for $3. Delicious coffee for $3. Great festive atmosphere. Fast unique service. Fun! They sell souvenirs from this place at gift stores across town. But if you buy souvenirs from here, they are actually less money. Fun place.
If you’re looking for more than coffee and beignets, you won’t find it here. Which is fine, because this is best coffee and beignets you’re going to get anywhere.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!! We were told, weeks prior to coming, that they were unable to accept reservations for our party of 9. We were in town for a bridal party and really trying to have a nice dinner on our last night. We were told to just walk in to be seated. We walked in and were told that they could not sit us inside FOR THE WHOLE NIGHT but that we could sit outside in 50 degree weather (20mph winds). We arrived at 6:45 so how could you not sit us all night? There were several tables open and we were told there was a party about to leave. Are you kidding me?! I spoke with MICHAEL, the supposed manager, to express my issue with seating and how they turned away a bridal party of 9. MICHAEL apparently does not care about making money because he said "we had 90 reservations today and were offered a table so if you wanted to eat here, you could've sat outside" in such a condescending tone. It was as if they were doing us a favor for offering us an outside table. Oh and by the way, the website says that reservations are recommended and that they utilize their upper floor of the restaurant if it's a cold/rainy night. How were we unable to make a reservation when 90 other groups were???

On a freezing Halloween night when everything was pretty much booked, we went to Cafe Amelie as a last resort for a nice dinner. I am so glad that we found this place because it was extraordinary. Since it was so cold, we ended up eating in the carriage house. The ambience was classy but unpretentious, calming, and elegant. Everything that we drank and ate was fantastic! I will definitely be returning to this restaurant whenever I return to New Orleans (which is three times this year!)

My porkchop was delicious, a little over cooked but the flavor was unbeatable. My boyfriend's pasta dish was a bit disappointing and the portion was small. We visited for New Year's Eve and they had hat decorations for us and little horns, very cute. Neat building, cute courtyard.

Oh em gee this place! A must try when visiting the French Quarter. We basically tried everything on the menu and wobbled out of the restaurant cause we were so full. Highlights were the duck, which was cooked perfectly, the baked oysters, and the bubba grit dip... cocktails and dessert were also on point. It was too dark and cold for us to sit out on the patio, but I definitely recommend eating there during the day so you can enjoy it.

Great space and feeling. The food was so full of wonderful flavors and perfectly cooked. The drinks were also creative and mixed to perfection. Will go back every tjme I'm there.
Dine outside in the beautiful surrounds like a real Southern lady. You can grab a quick and tasty bite, just demand to sit outside.

The burgers are great. There is a lot of amazing food places but so far this is the only place we have eaten at twice during our stay. Kitchen is open 24 hours, for all those that are looking for good food after a long day of drinking. I recommend the Sith Lord burger for anyone that can handle some heat. I love spicy food and that burger made me burn from start to finish!

We arrived late on a Saturday night and our hotel staff recommended that we try Buffa's. Turned out to be a terrific idea!! Our waiter, Huggy, was amazing. He recommended the red beans and sausage. The best we've ever had. He even turned down the music so my sister was comfortable. If you are in New Orleans, try this place. You won't be disappointed.

This is a nice bar/restaurant, depending on the hour of the day, there's extended sitting in the back where the restrooms are. I wouldn't recommend the grits because everyone doesn't know how to cook them. The drinks were strong and decent price for the venue.

The live entertainment was great but, the food was just ok. I think my Jambalaya was better and I'm from Minnesota. I'm gonna give you 5 stars now cause of the jab at the packers ?. We are Vikings fans. Your food was very good, maybe I should of tried the gumbo, that looked excellent. It was an overall wonderful experience
It’s got all the fixings to be your go to place for grub. Booze too. What more do you need?

I must say that describing the food as incredible just doesn’t do it justice. I had the rabbit and I will without question be going back for that dish alone. The bananas foster was also PERFECT. The reason I gave them only 3 stars was the service. It is not that the service was bad, it wasn’t, it is that it was not 5 star service. At first our waiter was attentive and then a table of 6 young females sat down. It was down hill after that. I asked for my drink three times until he finally brought it and the woman bringing our dinners out went to put them in front of us only to have to bring them back into the kitchen because our plates had not been cleared. At Commander’s Palace my drink never made it past half way with out being replaced, I never had to ask, the staff all worked together in tandem. This place was chaos. To be fair it was Saturday night but it was in January. I’d hate to see what it must be like in the busier months. Also, there was a table of about a dozen younger men who were incredibly raucous and made remarks at women who passed by. The staff was fine to let it go at the expense of the other diners. It was my wife’s birthday and for an establishment that requires you make a reservation two months or more in advance I expected more. Nonetheless, because of their fare I will try them again and hope that this experience was an aberration.

This was hands down the best place we went to in New Orleans. We went for breakfast and for dinner/dessert. The service was amazing, the wait staff super nice and personable. The food was amazing and unique. And of course we had to get the bananas foster which was a great dessert, made and served at the table

Great dinner! We were in town for a bachelor party and this restaurant offered everything to accommodate a large group. Most had steak (they had an off menu table side filet for 2 that was awesome!) and one had the red fish. Salad as a starter was great! Dessert was a fun show and delicious. The wall decor told an interesting story of Nola as well. Highly recommend!

This was certainly an experience to remember! Everything tasted amazing. I loved their sazeracs and the bananas foster was delicious. Even though it is pricey, the experience was definitely worth it! Also gotta hand it to the staff to accommodate our party of 6 without reservations. They not only managed to get us in but they were so friendly the entire time.

Food is amazing and staff is great. Recently ordered signed cookbook which came quickly and in perfect condition. I'm poor and can't afford another special trip like that so wanted to try to cook a recipe myself. Had a question on a sauce, emailed them, and received an immediate response and instruction from the chef. Amazing people. Thank you guys.
You’ll definitely pay for the experience, but it might be worth it to live the magic for the night. Cajun is on the menu and the brunch is highly recommended.

Excellent food but it's really a mom-and-pop kind of place, and there's one person cooking in the back. So the food comes out one at a time, piping hot. As long as you're okay with lower service, and everybody getting their food when it's ready, and not all at once, then it's great place. The food was excellent.

I ordered the actual dish "Bennachin." Very savory and flavorful. The atmosphere is great- a quieter small street away from wider crowd and noise. Service is minimum which I truly prefer. Recommend the lunch menu. Lower price but actual good sized midday portions.

BEEN GOING TO THIS PLACE FOR YEARS. I LOVE EVERYTHING THEY HAVE.FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE & BEAUTIFUL ARTWORK EVERY. THE ONLY THING IS PARKING IS A LITTLE CHANGELING BUT SOOOOOOO WORTH IT. EVERYONE THAT WE BRING ALWAYS COMES BACK WITH A FRIEND....
African food with a southern twist, if you’re in to that kind of thing. if you’re not, you should be.
